If you only pursue a kind of physical perfection and physical health, and do not start with the mind, these yogas are body yoga. These yogas are also good, but they still stay at a metaphysical level, and cannot reach a metaphysical spiritual level. The level of this kind of cultivation is still very shallow. Only when the spiritual yoga and the physical yoga are combined together can one enter the real practice.

There are two aspects to practice. The first is to cultivate one’s soul. This is the first level. When your spiritual cultivation is very good, you enter the second level, that is, to use your actions to embody this spirituality, which is the practice of cultivation. The “heart” of the soul is forged by oneself, and the “action” of behavior is facing the society. This kind of practice is meaningful only when the spiritual practice and the behavior facing the society reach a perfect one. Pure spiritual yoga or pure body yoga is not the most perfect practice, spiritual yoga must ultimately be reflected in behavior.

Yoga is an Indian language. Yoga is corresponding. Mutual affection, correspondingly called yoga. Its original intention is to reach a correspondence or resonance between itself and the great power of the universe.

Whether it’s the popular yoga or spiritual practice, if you look for someone who is sincere, it’s right practice—the correct practice. If you look for something else outside of this mind, it is not right cultivation. For example, when making one’s body beautiful, looking for things outside the heart, looking for physical feelings, looking for blessings, or looking for other things, this kind of yoga has no ultimate meaning.
